What is it about a beautiful classic car that captures our attention so intensely? As a car buff of many years, I have pondered that question on countless occasions...possibly induced by my wife as my attention is diverted from our conversation to the perfectly restored 1962 Vette that is slowly rolling by on the street. Or maybe it’s the six dollar admission I just wasted at the drive-in, thanks to the Shelby Cobra I was lucky enough to park behind. Or the...well...you get the point.

What is it?

Is it the horsepower? I love power...no question. 300hp accelerating from a dead stop is about the most exhilarating sensation there is.

Maybe it’s the chrome? I’ve always been a big fan of chrome. Freshly-dipped bumpers and grill can enhance a classic car as much as just about anything.

The sound. Who doesn’t love the throaty roar of a dualled-out V-8 that nearly collapses a lung? Was that a Mach I Mustang or an F-16 taking off?

It’s difficult to pinpoint what it is. It’s all of these things. But more than anything, it’s the sleek, sexy lines that appeal to all of us. They all have them...Dodge and Plymouth, Chevy and Pontiac, Ford and Mercury. They all have those certain models that just make you stare in awe.

The female figure...the most classic art form known to man. The appreciation of the female form dates back centuries. The masters of the arts were sketching and painting the female form for its natural beauty and visual appeal. The shapes and curves of a woman have appealed to humankind since the dawn of time.

An epiphany of sorts, Classic Curves is the brain child of five years of pondering how best to show the natural correlation between our favorite classic iron and the curves of a woman we admire most.

Classic Curves...yes they are.
